The goal of this summit
The objective of this summit is to bring technology experts together to connect, collaborate, and learn more about AWS. It’s a good opportunity to learn and explore new ideas for example how to choose the right database, modernize your data warehouse, and drive digital transformation using AI. The event attracts technology professionals from all industries and skill levels who want to learn how AWS can help them innovate rapidly and deliver flexible, reliable solutions at scale.
But do you know what’s AWS?
You don’t?
History and evolution
AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a comprehensive, evolving cloud computing platform provided by Amazon that includes a mixture of infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and packaged software as a service (SaaS) offerings. AWS services can offer an organization tools such as compute power, database storage, and content delivery services.
It provides on-demand storage and computing services with the concept of a pay-as-you-go pricing structure that helps your businesses to scale as you grow.
Revenue breakdown
Business Segment | Percent of Revenue (2019) |
---|---|
Amazon.com | 50.4% |
Third-party seller services | 19.2% |
Amazon Web Services (AWS) | 12.5% |
Amazon prime | 6.9% |
Physical stores | 6.1% |
Other | 5.0% |
Why Is It So Successful?
Scalable and Adaptable
AWS provides resources to aid in expansion. As the business model allows for flexible usage, customers will never need to spend time thinking about whether or not they need to reexamine their computing usage.
Cost Savings
With AWS, companies pay for what they use. There’s no upfront cost to build a storage system and no need to estimate usage. AWS customers use what they need and their costs are scaled automatically and accordingly.
Security and Reliability
The data centers and all the data contained therein are safe from intrusions, and, with Amazon’s experience in cloud services, outages and potential attacks can be quickly identified and easily remedied, 24 hours a day.
Amazon Leads $180-Billion Cloud Market
Amazon Web Services (AWS), the online retailer’s profitable cloud platform, is still ahead of the pack. According to estimates from Synergy Research Group, Amazon’s market share in the worldwide cloud infrastructure market amounted to 33 percent in the fourth quarter of 2021, still exceeding the combined market share of its two largest competitors, Microsoft and Google.
Customers
Here’s a famous start’up which use AWS

Let me tell a secret they even have a special contract (Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) contract) with the CIA, since 2013 Amazon Web Services was implementing cloud computing at the CIA and certain other intelligence agencies, and now Formul One.
