After 9 years Crysis is back…
One of the most popular video games is officially in development, has confirmed Crytek on their website: https://www.crytek.com/news/crytek-is-pleased-to-confirm-a-new-crysis-game-is-in-development
Why this is a big deal?
The first game was released in November 2007 and everybody was talking about it. Why, because It was so difficult to run it, that a meme came out:
When you build a gaming rig Crysis was the reference, and even today the original game looks pretty good.
To sum up, what makes this game so popular, is that Crytek put every graphical trick and ideas they could put it in, they build a game without really carrying whatever or not if it would work for people.
For me for instance, I could not afford a computer for it, I probably wait 5 years after the release to have a computer “which can nearly run it”.
A revolutionary game
This game was ahead of his time, it adds so many technical aspects to the graphics such as:
- Soft particles
- Self shadow
- Motion blur
- Volumetric lighting
- Bending edges
- Large scale ambient occlusion
- Deth of field
- High quality environment interaction
- Froxel Fog
- Vegetation rendering
- Volumetric lighting
- Dynamic soft shadow
This game was so special, it was built for PC, because pc is very powerful than console.
This game was just bold, risky and innovative, a pure creativity with endless possibilities, this game represents the hype of pc gaming, it represents the idea that put everything into the tech!!!!
We never had a game that push hardware and engine technologies so hard, and never has since…
Episode 2 in New York City !!!
Gorgeous, but more commercial-oriented, more linear, intended for the mass market because it was release on PC, Xbox and Playstation, now you have to make money…
And then magic disappear…
But it’s still a very good game.
Crysis 3 CryEngine 3 unleash!

Just look by yourself
I am very happy about this news, because, at the end of Crysis 3, it ends in a way we ask ourselves so many questions.
Now we need a date and the minimum system requirements, to see if we have to buy another computer 🙂
